What is the conference?
The Training, Learning and Development Conference is a next-level, two-and-a-half day event focused on finding smart, creative ways to meet the Corporate L&D challenges of today and the future. You can find more information on our What, Who and Why page HERE.
Where is the conference?
The conference will be located at the San Diego Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina. The address for the Hyatt is: 1441 Quivira Road, San Diego, CA 92109.
When is the conference?
The Training, Learning and Development Conference is taking place on October 3 – 5, 2016.
What is the conference dress code?
We recommend casual business. It’s at a resort location right on Mission Bay and average temperatures in October range from a high of 79 degrees to a low of 59 degrees.
How much does the conference registration cost?
The standard rate is $1295 per attendee. There is currently an Early Registration discount of $400 if you register before midnight, Friday, June 24.
What is the hotel room rate?
We have negotiated a special room rate of $169 per night. This rate is available until September 9, 2016 or until our room block sells out. You can make your room reservations HERE.
What is included in the cost of the conference?
Access to all of the sessions, morning beverage service and lunch.
What discounts are available?
There is currently a $400 discount off of the standard rate if you register before June 24.
Do you have daily rates for the conference?
There are no daily rates available for the conference.
How do I get to the conference?
Here’s a google map to the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. You can get there by shuttle, taxi or Uber (see below).
Is there a shuttle from the San Diego International Airport?
You can take the Super Shuttle. They have a $12 rate each way.
Is Uber available to use from the San Diego International Airport?
Yes it is! Look for the (unmarked) blue umbrella. Typical fares run around $12.
How do I register for the conference?

Can I register a group?
Yes! Start an individual registration and you’ll be able to add additional registrations in the process. The total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each.
Can I pay on site?
Yes you can, but it’ll be more convenient if you can register and pay prior to arriving to the event.

What is the cancellation policy?

When does registration close?
Registration closes when the conference sells out or when the event completes, whichever occurs first.
What meals are provided at the conference?
We’ll have morning beverage service (coffee, tea, etc) and full lunches Monday and Tuesday.
Are there any nearby restaurants?
There are three restaurants onsite: Red Marlin (the fish tacos are excellent!), Einstein Bros Bagels, and Swim Bar & Lounge. There are lots of other options nearby as well.
