What Is #MXRXP?

A showcase of mixed realities you can only find at The Training, Learning and Development Conference. Hands-on demonstrations that will blow your mind and show you the future is here — and its application for L&D is huge.

In short, the coolest way to learn through experience you’ve seen in awhile.

It Will Feature:

  • Virtual Reality: A computer technology that reproduces a real or artificial environment and imitates a user’s physical presence in that environment allowing for interaction. Virtual reality creates digital contexts that behave in ways that mimic real-world analogs.  Also known as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated reality. Examples of this would be the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
  • Augmented Reality: Physical, real-world environments that are augmented (or supplemented) by a variety of computer-generated input. Augmented reality embeds digital information into real-world contexts. An example of this would be Google Glass.
  • Hybrid/Mixed Reality: Merging real and virtual worlds to create new environments where the physical and digital co-exist and interact. An example of this would be the Microsoft Hololens

Why Is #MXRPX at TLDC?

The implications of mixed realities for training and development are tremendous. With current major product launches from Oculus, HTC and Playstation, 2016 is set to be the year virtual reality takes off. And with the VR Market expected to grow to a $15.9 billion industry by 2019, an #MXRXP showcase at TLDC is exactly the kind of content we want you to plug into — before it hits the mainstream.
